Welcome to the official web site for Exercise Dragon Venturer Eagle, the Derbyshire Army Cadet Force expedition to the Nepalese Himalayas due to take place in October 2010.

This expedition will involve Cadets, Adult Instructors and Officers from Derbyshire undertaking trekking and climbing in the Everest region of the Himalayas. Planning started back in February 2008 with the first selection taking place in April 2009 in the Peak District. Some 136 Cadets took part in this 8 day exercise which saw 50 candidates being selected for phase two selection in Wales in September and October 2009.

This selection will result in the following team for Nepal:
20 Cadets - 7 Adults Instructors - 5 Expedition Leaders - 1 Doctor - 2 Support Staff

As the expedition organiser I am delighted that we are well on the way to making this event a great success.
